“The Earth laughs in flowers.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
It would be impossible for me to truly choose a favorite season but I do so love the changing of seasons. That shift that happens when you’re prepping for something new. Springtime is the most welcome of changes, from the long, cold (often dreary) winter days of January and February to the anticipation of things greening up and more sunlit hours to plan fun things. I also love picking out Easter outfits for my kids and taking new photos of them every spring. Now that my daughter is almost ten (!), gone are the days of frilly Easter dresses with poufy skirts and matching hairbands. She’s much more sophisticated now, and opted this year for a simple pink lace dress that reaches her ankles. I will look back on those frilly Easter dress photos with fond memories now, and for many years to come.
Just as the little girl years are behind me now, this is also soon to be true of Ever After mini sessions. These sessions take a lot of planning and prepping and I have recently realized that I’m all too often filling my plate with projects and stretching myself too thin. So these upcoming Spring Mini Sessions at my home studio will likely be my last mini sessions for a long while. As we barrel towards wedding season, I want to be sure to devote myself as much as possible to my wedding and boudoir clients. I will absolutely still take on full portrait sessions and look forward to seeing lots of my Ever After families this fall.
So, the details on the spring minis: I have a GORGEOUS floral backdrop and forest floor drop set up in my little studio space at my home in Barre. There will be flower crowns for any littles who want to use them, and something extra special that I can add in while editing too! I have a collection of adorable bunnies, ducklings, and chicks that I can add in digitally to give some of these photos a bit of magic. My children were willing models for me so make sure you check out the images below as well as some of my Before/Afters on my Facebook page.
Sessions will be held in Barre on March 11th starting at 9 a.m. in twenty minute time slots. Limit of three children per session time slot, and a $50 deposit is required to hold your spot. Due to the limited nature of these mini sessions, any cancellations will have to use their deposit towards a full portrait session at a future date. Clients will receive 5 digital files of their choice from the online gallery with the option to purchase prints at an additional cost. Galleries will be ready by Friday, March 16th so you can get prints made in time for Easter.
Booking is super easy, just click the link here, choose your time and pay your deposit. I’ll send out a reminder email a couple of days before your session. But hurry! Once the time slots are filled, that’s it for mini sessions for a long while!
Now check out my super cute littles who were such willing models for me this week. I can’t even handle how big they are all getting and I’m already anticipating the day when they won’t do this for me anymore!
