“Be foolishly in love. Because love is all there is.”
This September wedding was the first chilly day we had this fall (okay, not officially fall yet but this is New England), but the cool air just added to the coziness of this mountain top wedding at Steele Hill Resort in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. Courtney and Camden waited to see each other until the ceremony and it was such a sweet moment as she walked down the aisle on her dad’s arm, seeing Camden look so blown away and emotional by his bride. With the backdrop of New Hampshire mountains just starting to change from green to brilliant fall colors, it was such a picturesque wedding ceremony.
As sweet and lovely as the ceremony was, this couple’s guests were ready to party in the tent right after. They could barely wait for the dance floor to open and the photo booth was packed the whole time it was there. Courtney and Camden danced their first dance to a Gavin Degraw song, a nod to one of the first concerts they went to together. It was a moment when I could almost see that they both realized at the same time that they were actually married and both of them visibly relaxed. I love that moment and it seems to be different for every couple.
September weddings can be hard to predict: will it be second summer weather or really chilly? Lots of green or bursting with color? Maybe that’s why September weddings seem to always be my favorite time of year. Since it’s on the cusp of summer and fall, anything goes. I love that when I show up to a September wedding everything seems to be a surprise. Courtney and Camden’s wedding was a beautiful surprise, and I wish them both the very best in their life together.
